What the Main Cast of Game of Thrones is Doing Now

When HBO’s fantasy television series concluded in May of 2019, dedicated fans who have followed the series since its debut in 2011 raised an uproar with the finale. The dramatic, provocative, and violent show did not end in a way that fans accepted. Despite the poor reception, Game of Thrones unapologetically stuck to its ending and released their main cast from the medieval world. Let’s see where the actors who played our favorite characters are going post-GOT.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister)

Game of Thrones fans have known and loved Jaime Lannister since the beginning of the series as the prisoner of Brienne of Tarth all the way to the end after watching how far Jaime came from his nefarious attitude.

After the end of Game of Thrones, fans can look forward to seeing Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in four movies this year: Domino, Suicide Tourist, Notat, and The Silencing.

Emilia Clark (Daenerys Targaryen)

One of the prominent narrators of the story, the audience followed the Mother of Dragons’s struggle to be free of the men who used her as a political pawn, to her violent independence, and finally to her tragic fate in the finale.

Emilia Clarke, post-Game of Thrones, has upcoming movies like the thriller, Above Suspicion, and the rom-com, Last Christmas, which she will be starring alongside co-star Henry Golding.

Kit Harington (Jon Snow)

Arguably one of the most popular characters among the mainstream through “Winter is Coming” memes. Game of Thrones watchers held their breath to see where the show would leave this prominent character.

Now, after the end of Game of Thrones, Kit Harrington has decided to cut his iconic curls and fade quietly into the background after the 8-year series.

Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark)

Sansa and her direwolf, Lady, started the series with attempts to live a life of a becoming a heroine and finding her Prince Charming. As the series continued, the audience watched as she grew up and matured from a girl to a strong, young woman.

English actress, Sophie Turner, who played Sansa will be starring in big movies like the next X-Men movie as Jean Grey and a thriller called Heavy.

Maisie Williams (Arya Stark)

Another fan favorite, Arya Stark practiced her clever and cunning skills to the point of ruthlessness. Her explosive energy is what lead to her end in the series finale.

Maise Williams recently posted on her Instagram a reflection of 2019 where she describes her best year finishing the fantasy series and falling in love with a boy. She has an upcoming thriller coming out called The Owners as well as a part in the Marvel movie, The New Mutants, that has a tentative release date sometime this year.

Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister)

The outcast of the royal family, Tyrion Lannister, was called the smartest member of the Lannister family by The Hollywood Reporter and became a deeply complex character throughout the show.

Peter Dinklage has a lot of projects on his plate working on four upcoming movies: Croods 2, The Angry Birds Movie 2, The Dwarf, and The Thicket.
